LDA Welcomes Sara
Lancaster Dental Associates is happy to welcome the newest person to our office, Sara Armstrong, who is fulfilling her clinical externship here as part of her dental assisting education at Erie Community College.
Sara will be with us for the next three months, getting “hands on” experience in a dental office setting. She is very enthusiastic, and is learning quickly how to transition from the classroom at ECC to working with patients.

This marks the second time that LDA has partnered with Erie Community College by participating in the Student Externship Program. Students enrolled in a New York State registered dental assisting program must complete a 200 hour clinical externship to satisfy the requirements mandated by the state education department for graduation. Through this program, the entire dental team becomes involved in training a student in all aspects of a dental practice, and we are able to provide a real world learning environment to students on their way to becoming certified dental assistants.
