Dr. Kevin M. Flanigan started working as a dentist in 1996 and joined Lancaster Dental Associates in 1997, becoming a co-owner of the practice in 2002. He is an alumnus of Nichols High School in Buffalo and graduated from the University of Rochester in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biology and a minor in Studio Arts. He received his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1996 then completed a General Practice Residency program at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Buffalo in 1997. Dr. Flanigan has been honored with an award from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and also received the Teledyne Excellence in Prosthetics Award while attending University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He continues to expand his patient treatment options with ongoing continuing education courses in Implant and Mini-implant placement, Soft Tissue Lasers in Dentistry, and Advanced Cerec CAD/CAM Training. This training allows him to treat patients effectively while incorporating the latest forms of Implant, Soft Tissue Laser and Cerec CAD/CAM technology for tooth restorations such as tooth colored onlays, crowns and veneers. In addition to general family dentistry, Dr. Flanigan takes pride in his work with patients who can benefit from cosmetic dentistry.
"I think there is a certain artistry to what we do. To know that we're helping patients be healthier is one thing. But to be part of putting a smile back on someone's face who thought they would never have the confidence to smile again – that's priceless."
Professionally he is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, the 8th District Dental Society, the Erie County Dental Society and the UB Dental Alumni Association. Dr. Flanigan grew up in the village of Lancaster and currently resides in the Lancaster community with his wife Mary and two children, Jack and Camryn. He is the youngest of seven children and is proud to have the opportunity to work with family, friends and new patients from the surrounding communities.
